Shipping and Delivery Policy

At Baseline Labs, every piece of aluminium furniture is precision-engineered and fabricated to exact specifications. Because we deal in heavy, industrial-grade materials, our shipping and handling procedures are strictly defined to ensure your product arrives safely. By placing an order with us, you agree to the following shipping terms.

1. Order Processing and Fabrication Lead Times

Our furniture, including the Layers and Forma collections, is custom-fabricated upon order confirmation.

  • Fabrication Time: Please allow 7 business days (excluding weekends and public holidays) for the fabrication, finishing, quality inspection, and specialized packaging of your order.

  • Dispatch: You will receive a shipment confirmation email with tracking details once your order has been handed over to our freight logistics partner.

2. Domestic Shipping Rates (Within India)

We currently ship across India. Because our pieces are constructed from solid 5052 aluminium, shipping costs are entirely dependent on the physical weight and volumetric dimensions of your packaged item.

  • Weight-Based Calculation: Exact shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout based on the total weight of your cart and the delivery PIN code.

  • Taxes: All freight charges are subject to applicable Goods and Services Tax (GST) as per Indian tax regulations.

3. No Local Pickup or International Shipping

  • Local Delivery: All orders, including those placed by customers residing in Bengaluru, are dispatched via our standard freight partners. We do not offer local in-store pickup or direct facility handovers at this time.

  • International Shipping: Baseline Labs currently operates exclusively within India. We do not offer international shipping.

4. Estimated Transit Times

Once your order is dispatched after the 7-day fabrication period, standard transit times via our logistics partners are generally as follows:

  • Metro Cities (Tier 1): 3 to 5 business days

  • Non-Metro and Regional Areas (Tier 2 & 3): 5 to 10 business days

  • Remote Locations: Up to 14 business days

Note: These are estimates provided by third-party freight carriers. Baseline Labs is not liable for transit delays caused by regional strikes, extreme weather, natural disasters, or other Force Majeure events.

5. Delivery Conditions and Premises Access

Shipping large metal furniture requires specific logistical considerations. Please read carefully:

  • Ground Floor / Doorstep Delivery: Standard freight delivery is restricted to the ground floor or main building entrance. If you reside in a multi-story building, it is your responsibility to arrange for the item to be carried to your specific floor, unless your building has a service elevator large enough to accommodate the shipping crate.

  • Clearance and Access: It is the customer’s responsibility to check the product dimensions listed on our website and ensure the packaged item will fit through all stairways, doorways, and hallways. We are not responsible if the furniture does not pass through your entryway.

6. Failed Delivery Attempts

Our logistics partners will attempt to contact you prior to delivery.

  • If a delivery fails because the customer provided an incorrect/incomplete address, or the customer was unavailable to receive the package, the courier may make a second attempt.

  • If the delivery fails entirely and the crate is returned to our facility, the customer will be responsible for all return freight charges and any subsequent re-delivery fees.

7. Unboxing, Inspection, and Damage Claims

To ensure safe transit, our aluminium furniture is often shipped in heavy-duty corrugated packaging or wooden crates.

Mandatory Inspection Protocol:

  1. Upon Arrival: You must inspect the external packaging while the delivery personnel are present. If you notice severe damage to the crate or box, note "Package Damaged" on the delivery receipt (Proof of Delivery / POD) before signing.

  2. Unboxing: We highly recommend recording a continuous, unedited video while unboxing the product.

  3. 3-Day Window: In strict accordance with our Return and Exchange Policy, if the furniture itself is damaged, you must email help@baselinelabs.com within 3 days of receiving the product. You must include your order number, clear photographs of the damage, and images of the packaging.

  4. If a claim is not raised within this 3-day window, Baseline Labs will not authorize an exchange, and the product will be deemed accepted in good condition.

8. Tracking Your Order

Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email notification containing a tracking link. Please allow 24 to 48 hours for the freight carrier's system to update the tracking status. If your order has not arrived within the estimated transit time, please contact us at contact@baselinelabs.in so we can assist you in coordinating with the carrier.
