Baseline Labs is a furniture design studio that crafts high-precision industrial objects using mechanical assembly. We exclusively utilize materials in their natural state to define the aesthetic and constructive character of every essential form.
Luxury is precision, not ornament.
Subtraction is the work. We remove until nothing remains that should not. What is left is the baseline, and the baseline is where the object becomes inevitable.
Two movements, one discipline.
The Bauhaus taught that form follows function. Brutalism taught that material should never lie. Baseline Labs lives where the two meet: we design from function outward, and we let the construction stay visible.
The connection is the detail.
We do not weld and grind and hide. Every joint is a decision made in the open, held to fractions of a millimetre. A visible fastener is not a compromise. It is punctuation. It tells you exactly how the object was built.
Furniture lives at the intersection of body, space, and time. If the baseline is wrong no amount of visual polish can save it. We begin where others stop asking questions.
